We head towards the village of Penamacor. Along this route we will come across some places of great natural interest. The Serra da Malcata Nature Reserve and all its biodiversity will be the setting that will accompany us along the Medelim-Penamacor route. We can take advantage of the proximity and make a small detour to the river core of Penamacor; Albufeira da Barragem de Meimoa and its beach and Praia Fluvial do Moinho in Benquerença. After this stop we continue towards Penamacor, we will now visit some monuments and medieval reconstructions carried out by the Knights Templar, such as the Fortress, Penamacor Castle, Torre de Menagem, Igreja da Misericórdia, Igreja de S. Pedro, Igreja Matriz and Pelourinho.

We continue our journey to Fundão and its Singular Historic Village of Castelo Novo in the heart of Serra da Gardunha, where the view reaches an unparalleled beauty. Pass through the Center of Fundão and visit the iconic points, such as the Mural Bordalo II (next to the Fundão station), the Archaeological Museum and the Centeio Milling Center. Next door, stop at the Fluvial Beach of Lavacolhos da Ribeira da Gardunha, located in the schist village.
A place of great beauty and also worth mentioning is Praia Fluvial da Lavandeira, in the Schist Village of Janeiro de Cima bathed by the River Zêzere.

Take the A23 to Adega 23 and do a tasting of Wines and Regional Products. This wine tourism space offers a range of activities that you can enjoy (workshops, themed tastings, picnic in the vineyards, wine events).
Towards Vila Velha de Ródão, the Tagus River and its Ex-Libris of Portas do Ródão, a place of immense natural landscape richness. We continue to Proença-a-Nova, where we highlight the Isilda Martins Museum and the Living Science Center of the Forest. Between the Schist Village of Foz do Cobrão and Sobral Fernando we find the Portas do Almourão where, from its viewpoint, the view extends into a breathtaking horizon. Heading now to Praia Fluvial de Fróia, located in a small valley on the banks of the Fróia stream, where we find an idyllic setting for leisure and relaxation.

Here, the first visit passes through the charming Aldeia de Xisto de Álvaro, Albufeira da Barragem do Cabril and Praia Fluvial. In Oleiros, the gastronomic suggestion is the kid stoned in a wood-fired oven and the maranhos, announced at the annual Festival of stoned goat and callum wine. At the Adega dos Apalaches Restaurant, in the village of Roqueiro, you can enjoy this delicacy.
We suggest a walk along the vast and imposing Passadiço do Orvalho, which will give us access to the Miradouro do Cabeço do Mosqueiro, the Água Fraga d'Alta waterfall, among many other fantastic spots.
If you still have time, travel the 38 km on the Serra do Moradal Ridges, on the Appalachian International Trail, part of the Great Pangea Route.
